About the Role
This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Financial Management Division, Office of Acquisition (FA). This position(s) primary purpose is to serve as the Procuring and Administrative Contracting Officer and maintain a current Certificate of Appointment that reflects unlimited authority to initiate Federal contracts with the requirements of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). Supervisory requirements of this position may change due to the Office's realignment.
What You'll Do
- →As a Supervisory Contract Specialist - DIRECT HIRE, your typical work assignments may include: Provides coordination of an acquisition team consisting of technical, supply, finance, legal, and procurement communities and the customers we serve, and the contractors who provide the products and services.
- →Plans, develops, implements, and directs all contracting activities in support of several functional mission areas.
- →Performs work associated with the analysis of automated contracting systems, or with providing advice and guidance on contracting and procurement issues including procurement using small/disadvantaged businesses.
- →Analyzes cost requests for approval of awards, leases, relief, claims price adjustment, terminations, price determinations, escalation, change orders, facilities contracts, maintenance contracts, etc.
- →Carries out supervisory authorities and responsibilities of subordinates.
