About the Role
About the Position: This position is that of the Chief of Procurement Operations for the Procurement Division located at the Mark Center Building in Alexandria, VA. The Mark Center is the new location for the Washington Headquarters Services of the United States Department of Defense and a number of other DoD agencies. This is a Direct Hire solicitation.
What You'll Do
- →Provide authoritative expertise and interpretive guidance for all procurement operations both within and outside of the procurement department.
- →Review and comment on all procurement documents requiring approval such as pre-solicitation clearances, acquisition plans, pre- and post- negotiation memorandums, etc.
- →Conduct organizational analyses and complete proposals for departmental changes that lead to improvement of the procurement operations, as necessary.
- →Perform full range of first-level supervisory responsibilities such as identifying workload distribution, transitioning work, setting priorities, and preparing schedules for completion of work.
- →Work with procurement costumers to obtain feedback on operations and ensure costumer concerns are being addressed in a timely and effective manner.
- →Provide advice, counsel, and instruction to employees on work and administrative matters.
- →Identify development and training needs of employees.
