About the Role
Serves as an acquisition manager for agency requirements within the Contracting offices and is responsible for managing and directing the execution of the acquisition mission for the commodities assigned to the specific unit. Read the entire announcement before starting the application process.
What You'll Do
- →As the Supervisory Contract Specialist, you will be responsible for the following duties: Manages and directs end-to-end acquisition programs for assigned commodities, providing contracting authority and oversight to ensure compliant, timely, and mission-aligned procurement execution.
- →Provides expert guidance and senior-level oversight for pre-award and post-award actions, including complex construction, Architecture-Engineering, facilities maintenance, equipment, services, and supply acquisitions in accordance with regulation, and enterprise policy.
- →Leads development and execution of long-range acquisition planning, market analysis, and requirements integration to ensure continuous contract coverage and effective multi-year procurement strategies.
- →Supervises and evaluates the work of contracting personnel, establishing performance standards, managing staffing actions, resolving employee relations matters, and ensuring adherence to Equal Employment Opportunity principles.
- →Oversees the execution of delegated contracting authority, ensuring regulatory compliance, resolving sensitive or controversial acquisition issues, and recommending policy changes, waivers, and special contracting actions to senior leadership.
- →Coordinates and integrates technical, financial, and business disciplines throughout the acquisition lifecycle; manages competition and socio-economic programs; and directs resolution of protests and contract appeals actions.
