About the Role
Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Human Resources Management, Planning, Program Analysis and Evaluation Directorate, Business Process Solutions Division, located in Washington, DC. What You'll Do
- →Joining Customs & Border Protection (CBP), Office of Human Resources Management will allow you to utilize your expertise to direct a team for the planning, design, and implementation of Human Resource business processes and information technology solutions.
- →This position starts at a salary of $143,913.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $187,093.00 (GS-14, Step 10).
- →Apply for this exciting opportunity to strengthen the Department's ability to perform homeland security functions through leading projects related to policy and standards development, resource management, database architecture, and infrastructure planning, ensuring successful delivery of projects related to Human Resources Information Technology (HRIT) systems.
- →Typical Duties include: Directing a team of computer scientists and IT specialists responsible for planning, designing, and implementing HR business processes and IT solutions within CBP's Office of Human Resources Management.
- →This includes assigning work, managing performance, and ensuring quality standards are met.
- →Providing guidance and oversight for projects related to policy and standards development, resource management, database architecture, and infrastructure planning/management, ensuring alignment with CBP's strategic goals and objectives.
- →Applying advanced computer science principles to develop solutions for HRM senior leadership, including designing and optimizing computer systems, networks, and database systems to support HR functions.
- →Designing, implementing, and maintaining complex software solutions, including algorithms, applications, and databases, while ensuring compliance with software development standards and security policies.
- →Providing expertise on cloud technologies, ensuring seamless migration and optimization of HR systems within cloud environments, and overseeing data security, performance optimization, and data integrity for database management systems.
