Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, New York Field Office, Field Analysis and Intelligence Unit, located in New York, NY.
What You'll Do
- →Joining the Customs and Border Protection Office of Field Operations will allow you to use your expertise to manage one or more national programs in order to help to detect and prevent terrorists and instruments of terror from entering/exiting the U.S.
- →Apply for this exciting opportunity to direct programs that strengthen the Department's ability to perform homeland security.
- →This position starts at a salary of $152,326.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to$197,200.00 (GS-14, Step 10).
- →In this second-line supervisory position you will become a key member of a team of Homeland Security professionals detecting and preventing terrorists and instruments of terror from entering the U.S.
- →Typical work assignments include: Determining programs that require closer review and evaluation and coordinate the accomplishment of major projects, responsible for policies, plans, and analysis that directly shape and improve the field analysis and intelligence units (FAIU).
- →Developing forward-looking vision that anticipates future challenges, such as advancements in smuggling techniques, changes in migration patterns, or shifts in global trade dynamics.
- →Providing guidance and direction to subordinate supervisors to ensure consistent application of policies and procedures.
- →Exercises significant responsibilities in dealing with officials of other units or organizations and in advising management officials of higher rank.
- →Tracking stakeholder interactions and report activities, performance metrics, and issues to senior leadership.
- →In accordance with CBP Directive No. 1335-018, U.S.
- →Customs and Border Protection Rotation Program and to meet agency needs, this position will be filled on a temporary basis not-to-exceed (NTE) 1 year, with possible extensions for an additional 3 years.
- →You may be returned, at any time, to your former position within the New York Field Office.
- →The New York Field Office may utilize flexibility to place you in the same or similar position with equivalent grade and pay.
- →The return is not subject to the procedures found in 5 C.F.R. §§ 351, 432, 752, and 771.
Requirements
- ✓You must be a U.S.
