Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, New York Field Office, located in Queens, New York.
What You'll Do
- →Joining the Customs and Border Protection Office of Field Operations will allow you to use your expertise to interpret a wide variety of laws, rules, regulations, and procedures concerning import-export of agricultural commodities, commercial cargo or personal possessions to United States.
- →Apply for this exciting opportunity to strengthen Homeland Security by providing advice on import and export of agriculture and commercial commodities entering the U.S.
- →This position starts at a salary of $148,222.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $192,694.00 (GS-14, Step 10).
- →In this second-line supervisory position you will become a key member of a team of Homeland Security professionals supervising a workforce engaged in the entrance and clearance of aircraft, vessels, and vehicles; and the inspection and control of cargo, mail, carriers, persons, and baggage entering and/or exiting the U.S. through a major Port of Entry (POE).

- ✓Selectee(s) are required to attend and successfully complete a 59 days of paid training by the US Department of Agriculture and CBP Field Operations Academy (FOA) Prior to arriving at the FOA, you must complete 10 days of pre-academy training.
- ✓Following the completion of the FOA, you must complete 13-weeks of post-academy training at the selectee(s) assigned duty station.
