About the Role
This branch is responsible for providing system management, systems standards, systems support, and systems evaluation work, as applicable, through quality management, quality assurance and quality control of FS programs and systems
What You'll Do
- →Incumbent is the authoritative representative for the administration and technical direction of a varied team of professionals for internal evaluation programs, audits, investigations and a consistent contributor to the improvement, efficiency, and consistency of the operations and processes.
- →Directs the work of subordinate employees and/or managers for multiple organizations and across multiple functions and/or disciplines within a major subdivision.
- →Provides direction and oversight to a team of employees performing audits, investigations and evaluations for the purpose of identifying system deficiencies based on Safety Management System (SMS) and/or Quality Management System (QMS) principles.
- →Provides authoritative advice, guidance, and analysis in the planning management and execution of programs related to SMS and QMS.
- →Applies a detailed knowledge of the technical aspects of the work that is directed; a detailed knowledge of budget, human resource management, and other administrative policies and procedures; and a comprehensive understanding of the objectives of the division.
- →Applies expert knowledge and leadership to address highly complex and challenging matters relating to the development and implementation of management tools to provide oversight in various program areas.
- →Supports the Division in the development, administration, and operation of aviation safety program plans, policies and procedures for accomplishment of the Division's mission.
- →Provides overall direction, analysis and performance evaluation of a variety of managers and employees, including professional, technical, and/or clerical employees for office responsibilities and accomplishments.
- →The incumbent makes presentations at meetings and conferences to executives and to other groups of individuals on matters within their functional area, including issues related to safety and organizational risk that may be sensitive in nature.
- →Responsible for the leadership, planning, prioritizing, direction, communication, tasking, training and scheduling of assignments.
- →Also responsible for time and attendance, leave approval, performance evaluation, corrective and disciplinary actions, and the setting of the branch goals and objectives.
- →Applies human relations skills and affirmative action principles within the branch environment.
- →Promotes and demonstrates organizational intent of critical thinking, interdependence and efficiency.
