These positions are located in the Farm Service Agency, Oklahoma State Office. Location to determined after selection in the state of Oklahoma either in District 2 or District 4. The selectee provides oversight and guidance to County Committees and County Staff on commodity programs and Farm Loan Programs and Administrative operations with the district.
What You'll Do
- →Participates in formulating State program policies and plans; representing the interests of county committees, CEDs, FLMs, farmers, and ranchers in the district and provides input regarding district problems, conditions and requirements.
- →Provides leadership and serves as a consultant to county committees, County Executive Directors (CEDs) and Farm Loan Managers (FLMs) in planning, managing, and carrying out program Position Description responsibilities.
- →Represents the agency in contacts with farmers, agricultural agencies, civic description groups, business personnel, bankers, the media, etc.
- →Assures loan and farm program operations are effectively administered in accordance with governing policy, regulations and procedures and that borrowers receive and adhere to adequate financial and agricultural guidance.
Requirements
- ✓You must be a US Citizen or US National.
- ✓Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
- ✓Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
- ✓If selected, you may be sent instructions on obtaining fingerprints.

- ✓As a condition of employment for accepting this position, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period during which we will evaluate your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest.

- ✓Direct Deposit: Per Public Law 104-134 all Federal employees are required to have federal payments made by direct deposit to their financial institution.
