The position is located at the Washington DC Veterans Affairs Medical Center (DC VAMC), office of the Associate Director for Patient Care Services (ADPCS). The Washington DC VAMC is one of the most visible and dynamic facilities in the VA system. This tertiary care university affiliated facility provides comprehensive primary and specialty services in Medicine, Surgery, Neurology and Psychiatry as well as offer Nursing Home Care unittreatment.
What You'll Do
- →Major Duties: Serves as the SharePoint Content Manager responsible for design, development, creation, coordination, review, modification, modernization, security and maintenance of all Nursing Service SharePoint portals.
- →Develops and executes the Administrative Management Program for the Associate Director for Patient Care Service (ADPCS) and services aligned under the ADPCS.
- →Oversees a program that consists of a variety of functions that include incoming/outgoing correspondence, records management, publications/forms management, administrative standard operating procedures, administrative internal controls, and organizational files management.
- →Liaises with Human Resources Management Service to provide Nursing Service lines advice and assistance on the processes and procedures of performance management systems, the incentive awards and/or other productivity measurement and improvement programs.
- →Oversees submission of and monitors, coordinates and tracks all on-going and projected HR actions and continuously apprises management of status.
- →Responsible for overall management and assignment of timecard keeping functions for the ADPCS and services aligned under the ADPCS.
- →Serves as principal advisor to lower level administrative staff, as well as staff office chiefs.
- →Physical Requirements: Work is primarily sedentary, although some slight physical effort may be required.
- →Manual dexterity is required in operation of computer equipment and other office equipment.
- →The work performed is of a precise nature requiring long periods of concentration that is often interrupted.
- →Incumbent is often faced with changing priorities and with meeting deadlines.
