This position is a part of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Pathways Internship Program, providing experience in information technology (IT), and data management. The Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) manages information resources, including networks, data, systems administration, and cybersecurity for the EEOC. The Pathways Internship Program is open to all eligible students regardless of age, including older individuals and veterans who are students.
What You'll Do
- →The incumbent works under the guidance of senior IT Specialists analyzing business and technical requirements for IT systems, applications, workflows, and operational processes in support of agency mission needs.
- →Participates in IT projects involving system modernization, cloud services, cybersecurity compliance, digital process automation, and enterprise application support.
- →Conducts research and analytical evaluations of IT issues, system performance, and user requirements to identify trends and support improvement recommendations.
- →Develops dashboards, reports, and briefing materials that translate complex technical data into clear, actionable information for management and stakeholders.
- →Supports IT operations and governance activities, including system monitoring, testing, troubleshooting, documentation (including SOPs), and coordination with stakeholders.
- →Assists in ensuring compliance with federal IT policies, standards, and procedures through documentation support, issue tracking, and participation in operational reviews and reporting activities.
Requirements
