About the Position: The incumbent serves as a Strategy and Policy Analyst in HQ USAFRICOM - J4 Logistics Support . Provides strategic posture planning across forces, footprints, agreements, crisis response, air operations, security cooperation, and theater logistics. Coordinates extensively with Components, AFRICOM staff, Joint Staff, OSD, and other commands to optimize posture supporting mission objectives.
What You'll Do
- →Develops theater-level posture plans and strategic orders by interpreting national planning guidance to optimize forces, footprints, and agreements in support of the USAFRICOM Campaign Plan.
- →Develops long-term planning directives and evaluation criteria in order to translate broad national policies into executable regional posture requirements and measurable operational outcomes.
- →Directs cross-functional planning teams and working groups to translate broad national policy directives into specific operational objectives and subordinate component plans.
- →Authors comprehensive strategic assessments and executive-level analytical reports to articulate command strategy and respond to critical taskings from unified command staffs and OSD.
