About the Role
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program, a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.
What You'll Do

- →The Staff Psychologist duties include but are not limited to: Participates in the Workplace Violence Prevention Program and serves as the Chair of the Disruptive Behavior Committee.
- →Provides a full range of mental and behavioral health interventions, when requested, including individual and group psychotherapy and psycho-education interventions, demonstrating sensitivity to the special needs of all patients and staff in respect to age, gender, ethnicity, developmental requirements, and culturally-related factors.
- →Provides case consultation on complex cases.
- →Serves as expert psychological resource within a multi-disciplinary team and consults with medical and/or mental health staff on the development or evaluation of mental and/or behavioral health intervention programs.
- →Conceptualizes, develops and implements detailed intervention plans for a full range of psychological services.
- →Provides comprehensive professional care documentation in the patient record system, adhering with timeliness standards for quality care.
- →Develops and implements interventions and the clinical evaluation of outcomes for those interventions.
- →Work Schedule: Monday-Friday; 8:00am-4:30pm Telework: Ad-hoc telework schedule may be available per agency directive.

Requirements
