About the Role
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.
What You'll Do
- →Duties include, but are not limited to: Administers a wide variety of group and individual psychological tests.
- →Uses a variety of intelligence and personality assessment measures.
- →Serves as an authoritative source of information in the use and interpretation of tests to differentiate between functional and organic damage to the patient.
- →Is capable of using a wide range of psychological devices and is capable of supervising others in their use.
- →Provides expert consultation to other units or organizations with regards to test administration and evaluation.
- →Provides Evaluative Support to a large population of clients affiliated with the installation or for a particular client base.
- →The incumbent provides professional consultation pertaining to human behavior, determining the reasons for that behavior and predicting and/or modifying the behavior.
- →The incumbent works individually or as a member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team to provide recommendations or treatment plans concerning psychological assessment and intervention.
- →Performs psychological assessment and evaluation and treatment of patients with problems of personality, emotional adjustment or mental illness.
- →Performs psychotherapy with patients, either through individual sessions or through group therapy sessions.
- →Uses therapeutic techniques.
- →Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

- ✓Citizen to apply for this job.
- ✓All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment.

- ✓Must be proficient in written and spoken English.

- ✓Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
