About the Role
The incumbent will serve as a Health Psychologist for the MOVE! Program at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center and it's corresponding VA Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs).
What You'll Do
- →This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program.
- →You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment.
- →Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.

- →Psychologist is responsible for collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including dietitians, nurses, nurse practitioners, exercise physiologists, physicians, and other therapists.
- →This role supports weight management and health promotion for Veterans.
- →Facilitates the management and delivery of services.
- →Collaborates with the VA medical facility interdisciplinary MOVE! weight management team.
- →Attends National and VISN level monthly MOVE! meetings.
- →Promotes and maintains effective working relationships with all staff and significant parties at the national, state, and local level.
- →Directs or participates in the design of studies, collects data, conducts statistical analysis, interprets findings, and translates results into written and oral communications.
- →Serves, in collaboration with the VA medical facility MOVE!
- →Provider Champion and other clinical content experts, as a subject matter expert to provide education and consultation on evidence-based weight management services and interventions, including pharmacotherapy and metabolic and bariatric surgery.
- →Provides information about training opportunities, such as MOVE!
Requirements
