About the Role
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.
What You'll Do
- →Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional Duties may include, but are not limited to: Performs evaluations for Veterans presenting for treatment with a variety of addiction and trauma related issues, to include PTSD and Personality Disorders.
- →Provides a full range of therapeutic interventions (e.g. group and individual psychotherapy) and demonstrates competency in at least one evidence-based psychotherapy such as Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, COPE and/or MI/MET.
- →Consults with medical center staff on a wide variety of patient care issues.
- →Provides consultation to professional staff within the ACC and to community providers, concerning clinical assessment findings and appropriate treatment plans for patients diagnosed with PTSD and an SUD.
- →Assists in establishing program monitors and outcome measurements within programs assigned using a data-driven quality assurance processes.
- →Presents outcome data and research results at VA and regional or national scientific or professional meetings.
- →Will attend weekly BH & BSS and Trauma Recovery and Recovery Services meetings and other treatment team meetings as assigned.
- →Consistently communicates and treats customers (patients, visitors, volunteers, and all Medical Center staff) in a courteous, tactful, and respectful manner.
- →Handles conflict and problems in dealing with the customer constructively and appropriately.
- →Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00AM-4:30PM Recruitment Incentive (Sign-on Bonus): May be authorized for highly qualified applicants.

Requirements
- ✓You must be a U.S.
- ✓Citizen to apply for this job.
