About the Position: This position serves as a Special Operations Planner, GS-0301-12 responsible for assisting with developing, staffing, resourcing, and managing future operations regional plans and engagements to ensure successful execution of Operations, Activities, and Investments (OAIs) to support the Theater Campaign Order (TCO) and operational requirements. It is located in Stuttgart, Germany on Patch Barracks.
What You'll Do
- →Serve as the OAIMS subject-matter expert (SME) for TSOC and subordinate components, as well as the conduit to the SOCEUR CDO/KM office for all OAIMS related suggestions/changes.
- →Ensure proper integration and management of resources for regional OAIs.
- →Incorporate joint SOF capabilities into future operations planning to optimize use of forces and achievement of tasks.
- →Understand command sensitive activities requirements and enable integration or sets conditions for execution through OAI planning.
- →Identify needs for and take actions to implement changes in priorities.
- →Enable proper use and integration of resources to enable successful execution of SOCEUR OAIs.
- →Utilize knowledge of force structure and resourcing for SOCOM elements.
- →Ensure KM tools and processes are utilized and maintained to consolidate all relevant country information and increase situational awareness.
- →Maintain and manage a SharePoint database of products and information to ensure continuity across future operations branches.
- →Understand, manage, approve, and monitor the OAI management system (i.e., OIAMS) in accordance with approved standard operating procedures (SOP).
- →Conduct coordination with US Embassy country teams, US Army European Command (EUCOM), US Special Operations Command (SOCOM), interagency, and partner nation efforts to ensure successful execution of OAIs.
