About the Role
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.

- →The VA Portland Health Care System (V APORHCS) is a Complexity Level la Facility and provides extensive primary, secondary, tertiary, and quaternary care in outpatient, inpatient, residential, and community settings.
- →V APORHCS is a multi-site health care system that includes a major medical facility in Portland, Oregon, outpatient and residential facilities in Vancouver, Washington, and 10 Community Based Outpatient Clinics.
- →V APORHCS is an academic medical facility with significant teaching and research programs.
- →The Acute Psychiatry Social Worker provides inpatient, transitional, and emergency acute psychiatric social work services to the Veteran population enrolled at VAPORHCS.
- →In addition, the social worker performs other administrative and professional duties.
- →The social worker works closely with other members of the interdisciplinary treatment team to accomplish these duties.
- →The social worker possesses the ability to provide consultation services to new social workers, social work graduate students, and other staff about the psychosocial needs of patients and the impact of psychosocial problems on health care and compliance with treatment.

Requirements
- ✓You must be a U.S.
- ✓Citizen to apply for this job.
