About the Role
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.
What You'll Do
- →The BHIP Program Manager serves as the supervisor of the BHIP Team, leading and supervising a multidisciplinary team of physicians, physician extenders, nurses, psychologists, social workers, and/or other staff members.
- →Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional Duties include, but are not limited to: Responsible for organizing and assigning work to be performed; performance evaluations; selection of staff, training, and recommendation of awards, advancements, and when appropriate, disciplinary action.
- →Plan and organize work to be accomplished by team members, set, and adjust priorities and assign duties based on capabilities of employees, so that our teams can operate effectively.
- →Develop, monitor and adjust tours of duty and schedules for clinicians to provide care in person and via telehealth.
- →Monitor productivity, clinic utilization, and metrics of staff members and BHIP teams.
- →Develop timely responses to action items while coordinating across services within the catchment area, VISN and National programs.
- →Provides individual, group, and family psychotherapy and counseling to veterans and family members as indicated through assessment process.
- →Provides a full range of screening, assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions for a variety of psychiatric disorders with a strong emphasis on the application of time limited, evidence-based approaches.
- →Develop treatment plans with veterans through use of shared decision making.
- →Completes a discharge plan when patients have reached their identified goals, integrating internal and external support resources for the Veteran upon discharge as applicable.
- →Provide professional advice and consultation in areas related to clinical social work and behavioral health.
- →Assist in the design and implementation of effective treatment strategies to meet veteran needs.
- →Assists with clinic access contingency plans by adjusting appointment times, locations, or dates as well as connecting Veterans with other providers due to staffing or coverage issues.

Requirements
