About the Role
This position is located on a Forest Service Civilian Conservation Center. The incumbent is responsible for administering the Behavior Management System (BMS) and/or Student Code of Conduct (SCC) program that include both student discipline and the incentive system. What You'll Do
- →Ensure that actions taken in dealing with students fully comply with established standards.
- →Administer a balanced behavior management program.
- →Motivate students and gain their acceptance of and adherence to residential living goals.
- →Conduct group meetings, as well as a knowledge of counseling techniques sufficient to provide individual guidance to students.
- →Defuse situations that commonly occur in a group living environment involving interpersonal conflicts between/among students.
- →Recognize potentially adverse or sensitive situations that may require special or professional handling to refer to the appropriate person.
- →Clarify situations, exchange information, or resolve legal entanglements.
- →Meet and deal with a variety of people, including local authorities, students' families, and off-Center visitors to clarify, obtain, and provide information in handling student activities and problems.
Requirements
- ✓Must be a U.S.
- ✓Citizen or National.
- ✓Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
- ✓Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
