About the Role
You will serve as a SHIPFITTER (WELDER) in the LIFTING AND HANDLING DEPARTMENT (CODE 200), CRANE ENGINEERING DIVISION (CODE 210), CRANE MAINTENANCE BRANCH of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.
What You'll Do
- →You will be responsible for providing crane maintenance both preventive and corrective to TRIREFFAC-KB Category I, Category II, and Category III cranes.
- →You will be responsible for repairing, overhauling, or modifying equipment that involves complicated and varied systems that are included on the portal, dock, and gantry cranes which are required to be maintained by TRIREFFAC-KB.
- →You will be responsible for fitting, fabricating, designing, modifying, repairing, assembling, and installing various types of metal and metal alloy parts, equipment, systems, and structures.
- →You will be responsible for performing required planning, layout, and fitting work involved in repair and construction of projects.
- →You will perform welds by various means of welding processes in various welding positions, including flat, horizontal, overhead, and vertical on metal of various types.
- →You will identify various types of metals to assure distortion does not occur by overheating in the shaping process.
- →You will operate a variety of welding equipment, stud machines, power tools, and other tools common to the trade.
