About the Role
This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. ARTs are part of the regular career civil service and enjoy all the benefits granted to Federal employees in the competitive civil service. In addition, ARTs are required to maintain their active membership in the AF Reserve unit where assigned. ARTs receive on average one weekend of military training per month. What You'll Do
- →The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as section supervisor over employees engaged in condition evaluation, test, repair, modification and overhaul of aircraft structural assemblies, components, and pans.
- →Employees are engaged in identification, removal, and prevention of corrosion on assigned/authorized aircraft, and ground support equipment.
- →Additionally, other employees are required to inspect machines, weld, repair aircraft pans and components. and to design and manufoc1urc support equipment used in all types of aircraft maintenance.
- →Provides training to reservists in the accomplishment of task herein.
- →Duties: Performs work planning responsibilities.
- →Performs work direction responsibilities.
- →Performs administrative responsibilities.
