About the Role

You will serve as a SEXUAL ASSAULT PREVENTION AND RESPONSE VICTIM ADVOCATE in the OFFICE OF FORCE RESILIENCY of USMC FORCES SPECIAL OPERATIONS CMD.

What You'll Do

  • You will guide employees on issues related to a sexual assault prevention and response program.
  • You will serve as point of contact for senior management, faculty, or staff regarding sexual assault response programs.
  • You will complete risk assessments and documentation for case review.
  • You will develop reports, information papers, talking points, briefing packages, or other Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) program information for senior leaders.
  • You will provide victim advocacy services and crisis intervention support for adult victims of sexual assault.
  • You will perform complex assessments using trauma-informed approaches for reports of sexual assault.
  • You will implement risk screening protocols and provide assistance to victims in securing treatment requested by the victims.
  • You will inform victims of resources available to report instances of sexual assault and provide victim tailored comprehensive referrals of resources to include victim advocacy, legal, and medical/mental healthcare.

Requirements

  • Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess: Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
  • OR Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
  • OR Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
  • OR A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
  • GS-09 Successful completion of a a master's or equivalent graduate degree in a related discipline appropriate to the position OR Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree.
  • OR A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
