About the Role
You will serve as a Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) Victim Advocate (VA) for NAS JRB NEW ORLEANS.
What You'll Do
- →You will perform essential victim service , advocacy, and support duties.
- →You will accept official reports of sexual assault by assisting the victim in completing official forms.
- →You will offer expertise guidance to victims on reporting options and explaining exceptions and limitations.
- →You will facilitate planning, scheduling, and delivery of SAPR training for stakeholders and local populations.
- →You must effectively communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of management, staff, and military personnel.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic/positive education qualification requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess: Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
- ✓OR Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
- ✓OR Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
- ✓OR A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
