About the Role

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.

  • →VA Careers - Social Work: https://youtube.com/embed/enRhz_ua_UU Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional The Senior Social Worker is responsible for providing Care, Treatment, and Rehabilitation Service (CTRS) case management to Veterans and families in the CTRS program at the Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System, Los Angeles, CA.
  • →This CTRS Senior Social Worker provides clinical and administrative compliance during their course of providing Veterans with direct services and/or connecting homeless Veterans to the services and resources that will enable them to secure safe, affordable, quality permanent housing.
  • →Duties include but aren't limited to: Provides case management services to a special patient population that demonstrates highly complex psychosocial, health or mental health problems.
  • →May serve as a team lead and the delivery of services will require specialized knowledge and skills and extensive experience in resource identification.
  • →Coordinates and provides information and referrals to VA programs in their provision of case management services.
  • →Provides consultation services to other VA staff regarding the psychosocial needs of homeless Veterans and the impact of psychosocial problems on health care and adherence to treatment plans.
  • →Documents in the patient's medical record in accordance with medical center policies and the requirements of The Joint Commission (TJC) and other regulatory bodies.
  • →Participates as a team member of the CERS CTRS program and will adhere to all applicable CERS and CTRS SOPs.
  • →Works as a field instructor with MSW student interns or clinical supervisor for unlicensed VA staff, when requested.
  • →Work Schedule: Sunday-Wednesday, 9:30 a.m.- 8:00 p.m.
  • →Compressed/Flexible: Not Authorized Telework: Possible.
  • →Ad-hoc after 90 days upon manager approval.

Requirements

  • ✓You must be a U.S.
