About the Role
This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI), Research & Rapid Cycle Eval. Group (RREG), Div. of Data Research & Analytic Methods (DDRAM). As a Social Science Research Analyst, referred to here as, Senior Research and Evaluation Lead, GS-0101-14, you will serve as a Senior Technical Analyst for DDRAM's work relating to drugs covered under Medicare Parts B and D.
What You'll Do
- →Design, coordinate, and monitor evaluations of model tests and demonstration projects and conducts studies related to the delivery and payment of services under the Medicare and Medicaid/CHIP programs.
- →Perform senior and technical policy review and guidance of research and demonstration projects and CMS projects, as they pertain to drugs covered under the Medicare Parts B and D program.
- →Prepare reports, presentations, and articles incorporating the results and findings of research (intramural and extramural) and presents summaries and relevant results of research in progress or completed to appropriate officials in CMS and DHHS.
- →Represent CMS at conferences and in technical discussions with professional, public and private organizations to further the understanding of complex issues.
- →Manage and monitor the performance of assigned research and demonstration studies as a COR, reviews and comments on the technical adequacy and relevancy of deliverables and prepares necessary documents to modify contracts.
Requirements
- ✓Education Requirement: In addition to meeting the qualification requirements, all candidates must have the following educational requirements: Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
- ✓(TRANSCRIPTS REQUIRED AT TIME OF APPLICATION).
- ✓OR Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
- ✓OR Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field TRANSCRIPTS are required to verify satisfactory completion of the educational requirement listed above.
