What You'll Do
- →As senior contracting officer, responsible for and manages the full range of contract management functions including all pre and post award functions on assigned procurements.
- →Advises the chief and the director in the formulation of acquisition strategies and the division's strategic plan.
- →Serves on various committees and process action teams.
- →Provides technical guidance and expert assistance to outside agencies and other contracting officers in the execution of NAF contracts.
- →Interprets policy and provides guidance to customers, colleagues and subordinates.
- →Takes initiative and seeks ways to improve the efficiencies of operations.
- →Researches alternatives and develops methodologies.
- →Recommends improvements in contracting procedures and initiates corrective action.
- →Develops and generates management information reports.
- →Uses automated procurement system in the performance of duties.
- →Performs public relations and marketing duties including article publication, and presentations.
- →Interfaces with policy division on procurement policies and procedures as required.
- →Mentors junior contract specialists.
- →Serves on recruitment panels.
