About the Role

The Office of Employment Discrimination Complaint Adjudication (OEDCA) was established by Congress to ensure fairness, integrity, and trust throughout the Department's adjudicatory phase of the equal employment opportunity (EEO) complaint process.
What You'll Do
- →This position is located in the Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of the Secretary.
- →The Office of Employment Discrimination Complaint Adjudication (OEDCA) was established by Congress to ensure fairness, integrity, and trust throughout the Department's adjudicatory phase of the equal employment opportunity (EEO) complaint process.
- →OEDCA is a quasi-judicial independent authority whose Senior Executive Service Director reports directly to the VA Secretary or Deputy Secretary, and whose Senior Leader reports to the Director.
- →The incumbent serves as the Department's subject matter expert in the field of employment discrimination complaint adjudication.
- →The incumbent serves as a liaison between OEDCA and internal and external stakeholders, to include executing congressionally-mandated reporting and representing the VA in connection with recurring program oversight and compliance functions led by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and Congress.
- →The incumbent leads process and quality improvement programs, to include training and oversight.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must possess a J.D. degree (or equivalent) AND a current active bar membership from any State, territory, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, District of Columbia, or Federal Court.
- ✓Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S.
- ✓Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications.
- ✓Therefore, provide only the attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S.
- ✓Department of Education.
- ✓If you are qualifying based on foreign education, you must submit proof of creditability of education as evaluated by a credentialing agency.
