What You'll Do
- →The following are the duties of this position at the full working level.
- →If this vacancy includes more than one grade and you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform these duties and receive training to help you grow in this position.
- →Provides in-depth expertise and analysis on various tax issues, practices, and trends, and top-level advice related to short- and long-range program policies, strategies, and objectives for Appeals, to promote and facilitate the implementation of Servicewide priorities and policies and to ensure consistency of approach, technical correctness, and fair and equitable treatment of customers.
- →Provides expert tax analysis and advice to the Deputy Chief on legislative issues, litigation matters, tax administration priorities and policies, new or revised program priorities, and significant technical issues.
- →Coordinates on behalf of Appeals with the Office of Chief Counsel on published guidance and other technical tax administration issues.

Requirements
- ✓Probationary Period - A person who is required to go through a probationary period and then is transferred, promoted, demoted, or reassigned before he or she completes such period is required to complete the remainder of the probationary period in the new position.
