About the Role

Primary position assigned as Secretary, Administrative Office, Spinal Cord Injury/Disorders Care Line, New Mexico Veterans Affairs Health Care System, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Provides administrative support to the service, which includes administrative support to physicians, clinical. and nonclinical staff assigned to the service.

What You'll Do

  • Duties include but not limited to: Automated Data Processing Assistant Coordinator (ADPAC) ADPAC/Public Key Infrastructure (PK!): Provides computer support and knowledge to all SCI/D staff.
  • Ensures all computer access requests are submitted for new personnel, existing, and temporary employees, including Personal Identity Verification (PlV) cards.
  • Ensures all computer codes are accurate and appropriately assigned to personnel according to their job duties.
  • Ensures all nursing students and residents are trained properly on all VA computer programs.
  • Assists personnel with obtaining, updating, and knowledge of the PKI process.
  • Talent Management System (TMS) Administrator: Provide TMS computer support to all personnel assigned to the SCI/D Service.
  • Provide re-set of passwords, course registration, learning plan edits, and other necessary functions of computer support.
  • Provide webpage support of SCI/D intranet page, updates unit employee roster information ensures all MCMs are added, deleted, and revised on the intranet.
  • Timekeeping Incumbent is responsible for performing a full range of duties related to all aspects of time and attendance reporting for SCI/D, which affects Title 38, Title 38 Hybrid, and Title 5 employees.
  • Maintain knowledge of current time and leave policies and regulations to carry out instructions to assure proper payment to all employees in application of all types of leave.
  • Conducts audits and reviews timekeeping records.
  • On a daily basis, the incumbent will ensure posting of personnel time to include regular hours or days worked, overtime, holiday pay, night differential, compensatory time (CT) earned or taken, Saturday and Sunday premium pay, etc. and changes in T&L Units.
  • Posting is made from both the VISTA Leave Database and the Certified Time Schedule.
  • The incumbent will cross-check the timekeeping system to ensure all exceptions are cleared and time is validated.
