About the Role
The Marion VA Health Care System is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to serve as the Surgical Specialty Clinic Nurse Manager within Nursing Services located in Marion, IL. The Surgical Specialty Clinic Nurse Manager provides leadership, oversight, and operational management for the Surgical Specialty Clinics within the Marion VA Health Care System.
What You'll Do
- →The Nurse Manager ensures delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered nursing care while promoting staff engagement, professional development, and continuous improvement.
- →This role collaborates closely with surgical providers, ancillary services, and administrative partners to optimize access, workflows, and clinical outcomes for Veterans receiving specialty surgical care.
- →Compressed/Flexible: Not Available Telework: Ad-Hoc only to meet the needs of the department at the Supervisors discretion.
- →Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
- →Relocation/Recruitment Incentives: Not Authorized Permanent Change of Station (PCS): Not Authorized
Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
- ✓All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment.
- ✓Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with VA.
- ✓Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.

- ✓Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
