About the Role
The Ralph H Johnson VA Medical Center is seeking a RN Chief of Quality Management to direct patient safety programs, ensure compliance with The Joint Commission and other regulatory accreditations, and oversee data-driven performance improvements.
What You'll Do
- →The Nurse V Quality and Patient Safety, Chief is an advanced healthcare executive who executes responsibilities that demonstrate leadership, experience, and innovative approaches in the guidance and direction of a variety of complex patient care programs and services.
- →They function as a leader, administrator, and consultant with a wide range of experience and authority that is broad enough to improve care for Veterans through their influence over policy development and decisions.
- →Preferred Experience for this position would be experience directing healthcare quality management, patient safety, accreditation, or performance improvement programs in a complex healthcare organization.
- →Experience with The Joint Commission accreditation standards, regulatory compliance, and survey readiness activities.
- →Experience leading High Reliability Organization (HRO), Lean Six Sigma, or Continuous Process Improvement initiatives.
- →Knowledge of Veterans Health Administrative policies, quality management systems, and federal healthcare regulations preferred.
- →Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret healthcare quality metrics, patient safety data, and performance measures to improve organizational outcomes.
- →Experience supervising interdisciplinary staff and collaborating with executive leadership, clinical services, and administrative programs.
- →Strong written and oral communication skills with experience presenting reports, findings, and recommendations to senior leadership committees.
- →Certification in healthcare quality or patient safety (e.g., CPHQ, Lean Six Sigma) is preferred.

Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
