What You'll Do
- →The United States Space Force (USSF) at Hickam AFB, Hawaii is searching for a Resource Advisor for SPACEFOR-INDOPAC (NH-0560-03, GS-12/13 Equivalent).
- →Description: US Space Forces Indo-Pacific (SFI), headquartered at Hickam AFB on the beautiful tropical island of Oahu, is recruiting for a Budget Analyst / Resource Advisor (NH-0560-03).
- →The incumbent in this position will be performing a variety of budget functions involving the formulation, execution, and/or analysis of budgets for assigned programs and support activities.
- →He or She will plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and control the preparation, presentation, and justification of command budget estimates, financial plans, revisions, and cost analyses.
- →Also, they will develop, implement, and advise on Component policies and controls for the appropriate acquisition, allocation, distribution, obligation, and expenditure of funds in approved budgets.
- →This future employee will also be responsible for performing budget execution and administration work involving the monitoring of obligations incurred and the actual expenditures of funds.
- →Finally, the SFI Budget Analyst will create accounting and funding documents and process transactions utilizing available/programmed funds.
- →Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate has Air Force budget analysis, formulation, and accounting experience and is familiar with Department of the Air Force funding documents and processes.
- →Key Skills and Abilities: 1.
- →In-depth knowledge of federal budgeting and financial management principles, regulations, and practices and expertise in budget formulation, execution, and analysis, including budgeting for complex programs and systems. 2.
- →Knowledge of financial management systems, including automated systems and databases and skill with data analysis and visualization tools, including Excel, Tableau, Microsoft Office, and other financial analysis software. 3.
- →Ability to develop and manage budgets, financial plans, and cost analyses to support SPACEFOR-INDOPAC mission objectives and strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and develop creative solutions to financial management challenges. 4.
- →Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy to a wide audience including non-financial stakeholders. 5.
- →Ability to collaborate with senior leaders, program managers, and other stakeholders to develop and implement financial management strategies. 6.
