The VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System is recruiting an Intermittent Registered Nurse for Long-Term Care. The RN provides knowledge-based, age-appropriate care; assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates treatment; supports patient education and self-management; and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to improve outcomes.
What You'll Do

- →The Registered Nurse-Long-Term Care duties include but are not limited: Provide population- and age-specific care for adults through older veterans.
- →Manage a dynamic patient caseload in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
- →Initiate, plan, implement, evaluate, and document care based on measurable outcomes in the assigned setting.
- →Anticipate and respond to emergencies, coordinate interventions, and evaluate results using critical analysis.
- →Monitor and document clinical reminders and performance measures accurately and on time.
- →Use Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) and Bar Code Medication Administration (BCMA) documentation in compliance with facility requirements.

Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
- ✓All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment.
- ✓Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with VA.
- ✓This position is subject to random drug testing in accordance with agency policy.
- ✓Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- ✓Subject to background/security investigation.

- ✓Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
