What You'll Do
- →Incumbent is assigned the Single Marine Program (SMP) within the Semper Fit Division of MCCS.
- →Performs and/or assists in the operation of the SMP.
- →Based on established policies, incumbent carries out assigned phases of designated activity applying an understanding of the interest and needs of program participants.
- →Typical assignments may include leading assigned participants in indoor and outdoor activities, conducting tours and field trips.
- →Helps to plan and coordinate details of recreational activities and maintains related supplies.
- →Assists in planning, scheduling and publicizing various activities to attract and motivate participants.
- →Events may involve frequent travel, working with large groups of people, and working days, nights and weekends.
- →Additional duties may include the creation of a monthly calendar of events and newsletter, assisting with quarterly reporting to higher headquarters, coordinating trip sign up and cash collecting, maintaining and reporting on SMP government vehicles, coordinating monthly meeting agendas, managing volunteers, and collecting and entering data.
- →Assists with marketing the SMP programs.
- →Solicits feedback from patrons to improve the quality of service.
- →Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy.
- →Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner.
- →Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye contact.
- →Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems.
