About the position: This position will be assigned to Outdoor Creation located on Peterson Space Force Base. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment drug test and physical. Must be able to lift items weighing 40 pounds or more. This position may require shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
What You'll Do
- →Duties and Responsibilities: Assists the Outdoor Adventure Program Manager in conducting safe and efficient outdoor recreation programs; the incumbent of this position leads and instructs groups and individuals in daily and overnight outdoor recreation programs, Verifies that all guides are trained and certified in accordance with all Federal, State, and local requirements.
- →Ensures that all phases of instruction are given in accordance with the student abilities.
- →Carries out guide duties to include but not limited to rafting and other outdoor recreation programs.
- →Provides resources, first aid, and evacuation procedures for customers and other staff when necessary.
- →Enforces safety rules and safe procedures at all times.
- →Drives vehicles and shuttles for the purpose of transporting gear and customers to designated program activities.
- →Ensures all required paperwork is completed in a timely manner.
- →May perform other related duties as assigned.
