About the Position: Serves as the West Point Range Officer, responsible for planning, directing, supervising and coordinating all range activities, priorities, and action with higher commands as well as various Federal, State and local government agencies.
What You'll Do
- →Responsible for the management, operations and maintenance of the West Point range complex.
- →Provide live-fire and field training support to military units of all services and components, civilian law enforcement organizations, and licensed non-Department of War activities.
- →Ensure that the range complex is staffed appropriately in order to support tenant and non-tenant unit training.
- →Act as the principle advisor on all matters pertaining to range programs, new design, plans and execution.
- →Develop the long-range improvement plan and selects site locations for all new or modified ranges.
- →Develop costs and estimates budget requirements for range construction, maintenance, and operations.
- →Determine manpower, materials, equipment, and facilities requirements.
- →Prepare and present briefings and reports.
