This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: The Watervliet Arsenal is an Army-owned and operated manufacturing center located in New York. It is the oldest, continuously active arsenal in the United States having begun operations in 1813.
What You'll Do
- →Evaluates the effectiveness of Watervliet Arsenal's (WVA) Quality Management System (QMS) and its ability to meet and sustain the requirements of Internal Organization for Standardization (ISO) certification.
- →Monitors administrative, production control, manufacturing, metal processing, logistics, and other functions within the Watervliet Arsenal and outside agencies impacting operations to assess compliance with the ISO standard.
- →Reviews documents and records such as customer contracts, technical data packages, engineering quality assurance provisions, and quality control documents such as routings.
- →Writes audit reports to include observations and Corrective Action Requests (CAR).
- →Updates Quality Management System stakeholders, management, and/or workforce to maintain an organizational level of awareness regarding ISO requirements.
- →Collaborates with other process improvement specialists to improve Watervliet Arsenal processes.
- →Serves as POC for external Quality Deficiency Reports and processes in accordance with established procedures.
