About the Position: Responsible for keeping employees, leaders, partners, and the public informed about the Honolulu Engineer District's work across the Pacific. It serves as the senior communications advisor, helping leadership share information clearly and build public understanding of the organization's projects and mission.
What You'll Do
- →Supervise and develop the communications team, assigning work, managing performance, and supporting employee growth.
- →Build and maintain relationships with the media, community partners, and stakeholders to promote clear and accurate communication.
- →Develop communication strategies and created content including speeches, articles, newsletters, presentations, and website updates.
- →Serve as the primary media contact, responding to inquiries, coordinating events, and preparing leaders for public engagement.
- →Plan and evaluate communication programs, identifying risks, improving outreach efforts, and supporting organizational goals.
