About the Role
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application
What You'll Do
- →Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional The incumbent serves as Psychology Program Manager of the Posttraumatic Stress Disorders (PTSD) Clinical Team (PCT) at the James J Peters VA Medical Center (JJP VAMC).
- →Identifying clinical/service issues affecting the delivery of care to Veterans with PTSD.
- →Identifying training/supervisory issues affecting the education of psychology trainees within the American Psychological Association (APA) accredited psychology internship program.
- →Identifying meritorious research and scholarly activities for implementation within the PCT.
- →Facilitating clinical, training, and research/scholarship activities within PTSD program.
- →Facilitating and participating in the orientation and training of new psychologists hired within the PCT, including the PTSD/SUD clinical psychologist.
- →Serving on hospital committees and representing MH for external site visitor.
- →Decisions are made exercising wide latitude and independent judgment.
