The position provides broad technical, administrative, and clerical support in Acute Nursing Service at the Dayton VA Medical Center. The incumbent will interface with Nursing Services staff, customers, and stakeholders; develop and maintain records of budgeting and resource spending; review, analyze, and report on performance and compliance activities via data analysis. Please be aware that there is a 2-page resume limit for this position.
What You'll Do
- →Duties include, but are not limited to: Develops proposals and plans of action to improve office operations and provides liaison support in connection with those matters over which she/he has primary administrative responsibility.
- →Independently observes need for administrative instruction or changes within patient/clinical services' operations, prepares correspondence and presents them for CNE's signature.
- →Independently handles situations based on general knowledge of the organization and policy; disposes of routine matters where there is well-established policy and/or procedure.
- →Reviews correspondence, (electronic and paper), directives, publications and standards in order to stay updated and informed, to determine appropriate action, responsibility, or area of interest.
- →Incumbent reviews reports, actions, and correspondence prepared for signature for conformance with Medical Center policy and VA regulations.
- →Drafts letters of acknowledgement and/or thanks to nursing personnel, for special accomplishments and services provided.
- →Maintains calendar/schedule for Nursing Service Chiefs.
- →Arranges meetings and conferences, with internal and external agencies and affiliates.
- →Prepares agendas, notifies participants, prepares minutes and arranges other matters, as appropriate.
- →Provides a broad spectrum of support to the Medical Center's Nursing Recruitment Program.
- →Responsible for the clerical duties related to implementing a comprehensive healthcare recruitment and marketing program for the VA at Dayton.
- →Provides supports and assistance to Nurse Managers with regard to staffing and recruitment issues.
- →All other duties as assigned.
- →Work Schedule: 0730-1600 Monday-Friday Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
