The incumbent functions as the My HealtheVet Program Support Assistant for the Phoenix Veterans Affairs Healthcare System and its Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs). Timely, effective communication with Veterans is critical to the mission of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). VA's Online Personal Health Record, My HealtheVet (MHV) and Secure Messaging can be utilized to communicate with Veterans in a timely and relevant manner.
What You'll Do
- →Identifies and invites patients to sign up for the MHV program, upgrade their accounts to Premium status and invite Premium account holders to Opt-In to the use of Secure Messaging.
- →Assists the My HealtheVet Coordinator in developing presentations to all levels of the VAMC/HCS, service organizations, veterans, family members and caregivers.
- →Presentations are designed to inform the audience about all Connected Care offerings including MHV Program, products, and capabilities, VA Apps, VHRC resources, VVC, and Self-Management programs.
- →Attend and educate Veterans during Virtual Health Resource Center (VHRC) Pop-ups and Road Shows.
- →Track and submit Leaf portal tickets for each VHRC visit and event.
- →Collaborate with the Communications Department (Graphic Design) to order necessary items for events such as easels, canopies, tablecloths, and other equipment.
- →Create and promote VHRC events through the Public Affairs office by submitting Leaf tickets for VA social media, Veterans News Now, etc.
- →Research, prepare, and present educational PowerPoint presentations to explain Telehealth modalities and VA Mobile Apps to VA staff during educational events (e.g., Virtual Lunch Hour).
- →The incumbent provides general clerical as well as technical assistance to the My HealtheVet Coordinator by maintaining MHV Systems, Secure Messaging Program, and electronic and/or virtual assistive equipment.
- →Performs work of a general support nature, which encompasses a variety of different duties and administrative office responsibilities.
- →Identifies and prioritizes needs and ensures the provision of structured in-service training.
- →Performs other duties as assigned.
