This position is located within the Research Service at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Program Specialist serves as a central point of contact for all Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) and Safety items in research.
What You'll Do
- →Plans, prepares, and schedules meetings.
- →Oversees committee-meeting schedules to ensure the presence of a quorum.
- →Develops meeting agendas and maintains confidentiality of committee records.
- →Manages and prepares responses to a wide variety of correspondence on behalf of the organization.
- →Schedules Committee meetings and provides agendas and background information.
- →Maintains all paper and electronic files in the office and retrieves needed documents, reports, and messages.
- →Evaluates responses from investigators to analyze whether there is a complete and detailed response to committee concerns.
- →Resolves remaining problems and discrepancies identified by committee members, initiates resolutions with investigators, and forwards the responses to the committee or designated reviewers for approval.
- →Organizes reports for presentation and records minutes for meetings.
- →Updates research SOPs.
- →Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements
