About the Role
About the Position: : This position is part of the Reemployed Annuitants Cadre, in support of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). On an as-needed basis, employees occupying these positions provide emergency support to disaster-stricken areas throughout the United States. This is a temporary appointment not to exceed 1-year. At management's discretion, the appointment may be extended for up to a maximum of 3-years or converted to a term appointment for up to a maximum of 6-years.
What You'll Do
- →Monitors the progress of priority and/or high visibility projects and keeps informed through the review of reports, programming documents, fund authorization documents and other program materials.
- →Manages a variety of special programs/projects critical to the accomplishment of the mission during natural disasters and emergencies.
- →Provides on-site guidance and line-item reviews of projects.
- →Provides authoritative interpretations of Corps policy regarding cost and schedule control.
- →Determines the source of and resolves problems relating to excessive costs and other technical problems.
