About the Role
Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Facilities and Asset Management, Mission Support Facilities Division (MSF), Front Office, 1 vacancy located in Washington, DC. What You'll Do
- →In this position, the MSF Deputy Director, serves as the principal advisor to the MSF Division Director, responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, resource allocation, and operational effectiveness of the Mission Support Facilities Division.
- →MSF provides the facilities and associated infrastructure, facilities management, and sustainment to support CBP mission support office operations.
- →As stewards of a large national portfolio of General Services Administration (GSA) -owned and CBP-owned infrastructure, MSF carefully balances resources to ensure the right facilities are planned and delivered at the right time to meet mission requirements.
- →This position starts at a salary of $169,279.00 (GS-15, Step 1) to $197,200.00 (GS-15, Step 10).
- →As the MSF Deputy Director, your typical duties may include: Evaluating, directing, and coordinating with various MSF offices, delegating tasks to ensure the Division's complex mission is achieved.
- →Serving as the primary advisor to the MSF Division Director and acting in their absence.
- →Coordinating with service providers such as GSA, U.S.
- →Army Corps of Engineers, and National Parks Services, and customers on relevant matters and sensitive actions, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- →Working under the general supervision of the MSF Division Director, who provides major policy guidance and expects independent functioning.
