About the Role

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Facilities and Asset Management, Mission Support Facilities Division in the following locations: Indianapolis, IN, Euless, TX or Washington, DC. Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.

What You'll Do

  • Mission Support Facilities (MSF) Division provides the facilities and associated infrastructure, facilities management, and sustainment to support CBP mission support office operations.
  • As stewards of a large national portfolio of GSA-owned and CBP-owned infrastructure, MSF carefully balances resources to ensure the right facilities are planned and delivered at the right time to meet mission requirements.
  • The Enterprise Facilities Support PMO is comprised of three branches - Facilities and Infrastructure Management, Housing, and Program Management.
  • These branches are responsible for the planning, development, and execution of facility projects, handling maintenance and repairs, and coordinating/evaluating Facility Condition Assessments for all mission support facilities outside of the National Capital Region, including CBP's portfolio of residential housing.
  • This position starts at a salary of $125,776.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $163,514.00 (GS-14, Step 10) Typical work assignments include: Creating objectives of measurement to ensure projects are completed within budgetary and scheduling constraints.
  • Recommending alternate courses of action and takes action to correct problems as needed.
  • Providing program management direction and oversight of project management, operations, and modernization efforts including planning, programming, budgeting, and execution of programs such as logistics and sustainment of Readiness Support Programs, CBP Facilities, property, equipment and other material resources.
  • These tangible assets include real property (land, buildings, and structures which may be leased, purchased or designed and constructed), motor fleet, and all other personal property.
  • Serving as a mentor to subordinate personnel and provides guidance on assigned tasks.

Requirements
