About the Role
Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Facilities and Asset Management, Mission Support Facilities Division, 3 vacancies in the following locations: Aliso Viejo, CA Euless, TX Indianapolis, IN Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.
What You'll Do
- →This position is with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), within U.S.
- →Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Facilities and Asset Management (OFAM),Mission Support Facilities (MSF) Division.
- →Mission Support Facilities Division provides the facilities and associated infrastructure, facilities management, and sustainment to support CBP mission support office operations.
- →As stewards of a large national portfolio of GSA-owned and CBP-owned infrastructure, MSF carefully balances resources to ensure the right facilities are planned and delivered at the right time to meet mission requirements.
- →The Enterprise Facilities Support (EFS)PMO is comprised of three branches - Facilities and Infrastructure Management, Housing, and Program Management.
- →These branches are responsible for the planning, development, and execution of facility projects, handling maintenance and repairs, and coordinating/evaluating Facility Condition Assessments for all mission support facilities outside of the National Capital Region, including CBP's portfolio of residential housing.
- →This position starts at a salary of $106,437.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $138,370.00 (GS-13, Step 10).
- →Typical work assignments include: Coordinating collaboratively with CBP organizations that (EFS) services (hereinafter referred to as "Business Partners") to evaluate and refine their facility requirements into formal Requirements Development Requests (RDRs).
- →Leading the optimal conversion of RDRs into viable projects that are frequently executed by other government agencies, primarily the General Services Administration.
- →Projects may include space expansions, contractions, reconfigurations, relocations, or upgrades to various aspects of their existing space including outdated, dilapidated or insufficient elements such as furniture, security features, or audio/visual equipment.
- →Leading coordination with OFAM subject matter experts and applicable facility owners toward resolution of any lease related issues that arise for any leased space or maintenance and repair issues not promptly addressed.
- →Performing occupancy cost analysis, analyzing and justifying operating expenses, maintaining accurate documentation, and resolving issues efficiently.
- →Utilizing the automated real property program TRIRIGA to take corrective actions for users, resolve data reporting errors, and identify complex existing or potential program issues to PMO leadership, while making recommendations for timely and executable plans for corrective actions.
