About the Role
Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, Rio Grande Valley Sector, Mission Readiness Operations Division located in Edinburg, TX. Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.
What You'll Do
- →As Deputy Division Chief, you will act as the second-in-command to the Division Chief, jointly overseeing all aspects of the organization's programs and operations.
- →This role includes shared responsibility for a broad range of mission support activities, such as mission support policies, logistics, procurement, workforce management, training, and financial programs and services.
- →This position starts at a salary of $125,776.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $159,321.00 (GS-14, Step 10).
- →Typical Duties include: Providing technical advice and leadership in developing, implementing, and evaluating national programs and processes; ensuring the integration with current strategic plans.
- →Testing, developing, and adapting new management methods and theories for mission support programs sector wide.
- →Directing and overseeing the execution of budget, logistics, facilities, procurement, and quality assurance programs.
- →Implementing national financial policies; developing, evaluating, and improving financial policies, plans and processes.
- →Overseeing the development and management of procedures and systems to support life cycle management for logistics and facilities.
