About the Role

The Dayton, Ohio VA Medical Center is looking for a Program Application Specialist that will support Surgical Services with a comprehensive knowledge of healthcare application support, clinical workflow processes, information security requirements, and program operations. Two (2) Page Resume Limit Applies for this Position.

What You'll Do

  • Duties include but are not limited to the following: Analyzes user roles and coordinates access consistent with information security policies.
  • Plans and validates system updates and enhancements impacting workflows.
  • Develops downtime and recovery procedures to ensure continuity of operations.
  • Conducts workflow analysis to identify inefficiencies and documentation gaps.
  • Investigates and resolves recurring system and workflow issues.
  • Develops and delivers training programs and user guidance materials.
  • Coordinates onboarding, system access, and training for new staff.
  • Prepares reports and recommendations for leadership on system performance.
  • Monitors corrective actions and evaluates outcomes.
  • Develops tracking tools and references materials for compliance and efficiency.
  • Supports audits, projects, and program analysis activities.
  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
