About the Role

The Program Analyst for the Business Office with direct accountability to the Mobility Manager, Veterans Transportation Services (VTS) and Beneficiary Travel sections located at the Sheridan VA Health Care System in Sheridan, Wy. This position is responsible for financial analysis, programmatic oversight, information management, financial feasibility studies, and support in strategic planning efforts.

What You'll Do

  • →***THIS IS NOT A VIRTUAL POSITION, YOU MUST LIVE WITHIN OR BE WILLING TO RELOCATE WITHIN A COMMUTABLE DISTANCE OF THE DUTY LOCATION*** This Program Analyst is responsible for functions related to Veterans Transportation Service (VTS) care and Beneficiary Travel expenditures and other contract services and agreements including.
  • →This position involves a multi-grade career ladder.
  • →The major duties listed below represent the full performance level of GS-09.
  • →At the GS-07 grade level, you will perform assignments of a more limited scope and with less independence.
  • →You will progressively acquire the background necessary to perform at the full performance level of GS-09.
  • →Promotion is at the discretion of the supervisor and is contingent upon satisfactory performance, availability of higher level work, and availability of funds.
  • →Duties include but are not limited to the following.
  • →Analyzes and manages financial and budget information to support efficient and effective use of funds.
  • →Monitors and tracks expenditures and obligations and projects future funding needs to ensure funds are available to support program operations.
  • →Maintains budget and fund control information and prepares accurate cost estimates, financial reports, and other related documentation.
  • →Reviews financial transactions and supporting documentation, including invoices and purchase orders, for accuracy and appropriate use of funds.
  • →Monitors program costs, identifies spending trends, and communicates funding or expenditure information to appropriate staff.
