The primary purpose of the Management & Program Analyst is to work within the Planning and Programming Section as part of an interdisciplinary team of facility planners, architects, engineers, and other project managers. This position is located in the Engineering Department at the Veterans Affairs Salt Lake City Health Care System.
What You'll Do
- →Major duties may include but are not limited to: Formulate transition budgets, create phasing, and transition plans, and facilitate ongoing communication and coordination with the Project Development Section project managers and VASLCHCS contract officers' representatives (COR) on all building activation "fit up".
- →Develop spreadsheets to identify furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) needs and oversee the procurement process.
- →Communicate and update moving schedules through regularly scheduled meetings/conference calls.
- →Plan, coordinate capital equipment, all nonrecurring FF&E activities, warehousing, staging and the eventual installation of all VA furnished, VA installed (VV) and VA furnished, Contractor installed (VC) non-recurring activation items.
- →Coordinate with VA facility planners, interior designers, medical equipment planners, engineers, logistics, OIT, contracting officers and the respective services and section chiefs to successfully activate each building/space and FF&E activation activities.
- →Ensure that all FF&E items are accounted for within the architect/engineer (A/E) construction documents (CDs) to minimize errors and omissions during construction.
- →Ensure that the appropriate infrastructure, e.g., utilities, has been incorporated in the CDs to accommodate all FF&E items prior to contract award.
- →Ensuring that all FF&E requirements are clearly specified within the construction documents is a top priority.
- →Manage the decommissioning process in terms of turn-in, repurposing or disposing of all remaining FF&E items prior to building demolition or reuse.
- →Coordinate with logistics, OIT, engineering and interior design regarding the disposition of all remaining FF&E items.
- →As a member of the VASLCHCS Space Committee coordinates and recommends space assignments to leadership.
- →Develops and maintains VASLCHCS Space Committee documentation both electronically and hardcopy.
- →Safeguards all Space Committee documents.
- →Responsible for the management of over 1.2 M GSF of existing program space throughout VASLCHCS locations to include CBOCs.

- ✓Incumbent must have the ability to work within an environment of conflicting deadlines and shifting priorities.
- ✓Incumbent may be required to work evenings and weekends, as well as perform infrequent overnight travel to meetings and conferences.
